Oscar Sanchez is originally from Merida, Venezuela, where he was working for the tourism industry for multiple years. He moved in 2004 to South Burlington, Vermont to start a new life with his wife Kari.  Oscar went to Northern Vermont University and earned a Bachelors in Fine Arts, and he worked for the Center for Technology at Essex from 2014 to 2021. 

In the summer of 2021, Oscar and the rest of the family will move to Rabat, Morocco for a few years. Kari, his wife, will be teaching at Rabat American School, and he will be working on multiple art projects, making sure he will keep his presence in the art community of Vermont.
